Clover

Based on the geometry of an octahedron, this table features three folding leaves which are raised and lowered by rotating the tabletop. Designed for small apartments or tiny homes.

Clovers three leaves are smoothly joined to the table with rule joints allowing them to fold upward. Most folding tables require additional hardware to support the leaves in the open position. Clover represents an innovation for all such tables as no support hardware is needed. The leaves are supported simply by the base structure of the legs which crosses each  joint when the table top is rotated 60 degrees. Thus the table can be opened and closed through a single fluid motion.
